Tour Itinerary
Arrive Guwahati by Air or Train, meet and greet at Airport or Railways station, after warm welcome you will be transferred to Shillong, (Approx. 125 kms / 3 hrs drive). En-route enjoy speed boating at Umiam Lake (Bara Pani).
Afternoon enjoy the excursion of Shillong, visiting Golf Ground, Don Bosco Museum one of the worth visiting Museum in Indian, Museum focusing on local indigenous people & culture, with tools, clothing & artifacts on display (Closed on Sundays and Public Holidays state and Center Govt 09:00 hrs to 17:30 hrs). Lady Hydari Park, (Closed on Mondays) it’s a scenic, manicured green space with flowering gardens, a water feature & a modest zoo. Cathedral of Marry Laitlum and can also enjoy boating at Ward Lake (on direct payment). Evening at leisure for your own independent activities like shopping at Police Bazar. Overnight at hotel.
Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel. Excursion tour to Shillong - Cherapunjee (Approx. 60 kms / 2 hrs drive one way). Visit Elepahnt Falls: The unique part of these falls is that it is a two-tier waterfall set in the dingles of the rocks. These curved falls have an eye-catching beauty, and the surrounding green vegetation makes it a perfect picnic spot. This beautiful fall is made of three smaller falls and the combined stream adorns the fern-covered rocks below. Locals call it Ka Kshaid Lai Pateng Khohsiew, the literal meaning of which is "Three Steps Water Falls". The present and more popular name has its origin in the British era when the Englishmen spotted a giant rock that looked like an elephant near the fall. Of course, while the colonial era was long era, but the name has stuck!
En-route visiting Mawkdog Velley, approx. 30 kms drive from Shillong, it offers a wonderful vantage point located on Shillong-Cherrapunjee Road in Meghalaya. Guests can enjoy some adventure activities like Zip lining for a wide view or they can travel in valley by zipping on direct payment (restricted for bulky and over aged persons and below 15 years kids). Garden of Caves, Wai Sawdong, Dentheline Waterfalls, Arwah Caves, Nohkalikai Waterfalls, Mawsmai Caves, Eco Park, Seven Sister Waterfalls, & Khoh Ramrah rock, which is popularly known as the Shiva Rock. Placed right opposite the entry gate of the park, this huge rock is in the shape of a lingam, (Falls are active during Rainy Season). Evening return to the hotel.
Enjoy sumptuous breakfast at your hotel. Morning proceeds for day excursion of Mwallynong village (Approx. 2 hrs drive one way) and Dawki.
Mwallynong: The Cleanest Village in Asia, in eastern India’s Mawlynnong village, tidying up is a ritual that everyone from tiny toddlers to toothless grannies takes very seriously. This small, 600 odd person town in the Meghalaya region is renowned as the cleanest village in India. And for India, that’s really saying something. Discarded bottles and crumpled food wrappers mixed with cow dung and worse are simply part of the topography in most of the country. Mawlynnong is already way ahead of the curve, though. It was declared the cleanest village in Asia in 2003 and the cleanest in India in 2005 by Discover India magazine. This claim to fame stuck, and the village has become a regional legend and source of pride. Walk in, and all the typical rubbish is mysteriously, miraculously absent.
Living Root Bridge: Living Root Bridge is a Tree Bridge, while visiting Meghalaya one must visit this beautiful place. Please wear good shoes which have a good grip as you will to go on stairs which is not smooth, avoid high heels and fancy shoes, sandals.
Later proceeds for Dawki (Indo-Bangladesh Border) will provide you a serene view but will also add memories that you can cherish forever. The main attraction here apart from the extreme natural beauty and peace is the Dawki Bridge. It is a suspension bridge over the Umngot River and also serves as a place from where all tourists can enjoy some spectacular panoramic views. Enjoy boat ride on River Dawki on direct payment (one of the cleanest rivers on earth) also you can try some snacks selling from Bangladesh. Evening return, overnight at hotel.
Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel. Drive to Kaziranga (Approx. 280 kms / 6-7 hrs drive), upon arrival check in to the hotel.
Kaziranga: One of the most sought-after wildlife holiday destinations in India, Kaziranga National park's 430 square kilometer area sprinkled with elephant-grass meadows, swampy lagoons, and dense forests is home to more than 2200 Indian one-horned rhinoceros, approximately 2/3rd of their total world population. Undoubtedly, the park is known for its good population of animals but more than that it’s the wildlife conservation initiatives that take place in the park that are more popular. With its amazing wildlife conservation activities, the park has successfully managed to grow the population of Greater one-horned rhinoceros, an endangered species.
Upon arrival in Kaziranga, check in to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
At 04:30 hrs (Optional), morning proceed for Kaziranga National Park for a shared Elephant ride, After the safari, return to hotel for breakfast. 10:00 hrs, Proceed to The Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park is sprawling in around 6 acres in the Durgapur village and is considered as the largest orchid park in the Northeast belt of India. The park has multiplied the glory of the Kaziranga in many folds. The Orchid Park boasts of having more than 500 varieties of wild orchids, 132 species of sour fruits and leafy vegetables, 46 species of bamboo, 12 species of cane and many other plants along with various species of local fishes. Enjoy varieties of Cultural exhibitions and folk dances of Assam.
Later in the afternoon around 13:00 hrs., enjoy your lunch and drive to the National Park for a Jeep Safari (Optional). Evening return to hotel, overnight at hotel.
After breakfast you will be driven to Guwahati (Approx. 240 kms / 5-6 hrs drive). Upon arrival check in to the hotel. Next proceed to Navagrah Temple, Umananda Devaloi is a Shiva temple located at the Peacock Island in the middle of river Brahmaputra (need to Cross the river by ferry, guest needs to buy Ferry tickets, also enjoy Ride at Longest River Roap way over Brahamaputra River It connects the Northern and Southern banks of Guwahati the ropeway gives a panoramic view of Guwahati, the Brahmaputra, and the surrounding hills. It can be a good experience that gives you an understanding of the geography of the city and gives you some interesting aerial, drone like shots without using one. You will also see Umananda Island, a small river island with a temple.
Later in evening you will have time for Shopping at local market at Pan Bazaar and Fancy Bazaar. Optional: Evening Sunset River Cruise. Overnight at hotel.
Morning visit Kamakhya Temple (Please note, in case guest wants to visit Kamakhya Temple, we suggest Roop Darshan, for going to Garva Griha, VIP ticket cost INR 501/- per person, counter opens at 06:00 hrs for Morning Darshan and at 12:00 hrs for afternoon Darshan, devotees need to obtain the ticket by themselves being on time rather before time be in queue / guest can also enter temple without any VIP tickets, for that guest needs go in general Queue which will take many hours for Darshan). After Dharshan, return to the hotel for breakfast in case the guest does Darhan in time.
Later you will be driven to Guwahati Airport / Railway station to board your Flight / Train for your onward journey.
