Begin in Thimphu, where lush valleys host a diverse array of bird species, from the vibrant Himalayan Monal to the melodious Rufous-vented Yuhina. Continue to Phobjikha, the serene winter haven of the majestic Black-necked Cranes, set against snow-capped mountains.

Journey onward to Punakha, a region rich in subtropical forests and meandering rivers, where elusive species like the White-bellied Heron and Scarlet Minivet thrive. Conclude in Paro, where ancient monasteries and pristine forests offer sightings of rare avian treasures such as the Himalayan Griffon and Fire-tailed Myzornis.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Paro - Thimphu

Arrive at Paro International Airport, complete immigration formalities, and receive a warm welcome from our team. Drive 1.5 hours to Thimphu (2,400m), following scenic routes along the Paro and Thimphu Rivers.

En route, stop at Tachogang Lhakhang for a short walk or roadside view, and pass by Chuzom, the confluence of Paro and Thimphu Rivers. Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 2: Thimphu - Phobjikha

After breakfast, drive 5 hours to Phobjikha (2,900m), a valley known for Black-necked Cranes and stunning landscapes. En route, visit Buddha Dordenma, a towering 51.5m statue overlooking Thimphu, and stop at Dochula Pass for breathtaking Himalayan views and its iconic 108 chortens.

Enjoy birdwatching at Dochula Pass, Nobding, and Phobjikha, spotting species like Fire-tailed Myzornis, Rufous-gorgeted Flycatcher, and Himalayan Griffon. Overnight in Phobjikha.

Day 3: Phobjikha - Punakha

Enjoy a scenic 3-hour drive from Phobjikha to Punakha (1,350m) via Pele La Pass, a birdwatcher’s paradise home to Satyr Tragopan, Himalayan Monal, and Blood Pheasant.

Visit the iconic Punakha Dzong, built in 1637, known for its stunning architecture at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Explore the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of Bhutan’s longest, offering breathtaking views and access to nearby villages. Overnight in Punakha.

Day 4: Punakha - Paro

Drive 3 hours to Paro (2,200m), retracing the scenic route via Dochula Pass and Chuzom, offering another chance to enjoy breathtaking Himalayan views.

Stop for birdwatching at Lamperi Botanical Garden, home to rare Himalayan species like the Great Parrotbill and Darjeeling Woodpecker, and at Pa Chu River, where you can spot Ibisbill, Brown Dipper, and White-capped Water Redstart. Overnight in Paro.

Day 5: Paro Sightseeing

Explore the picturesque Paro Valley, known for its historic sites, luxury resorts, and souvenir shops.

Hike to Taktsang Gompa (Tiger’s Nest), Bhutan’s most iconic monastery, perched 900m above the valley. The trek takes around 2–6 hours, offering breathtaking views and birdwatching opportunities, including Snow Pigeon, Yellow-bellied Blue Magpie, and Rufous Sibia. Overnight in Paro.

Day 6: Departure

After breakfast check out from hotel and drop at Paro Airport for departure.

  • Any alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverages taken from the hotels / restaurants.
  • Personal expenses or shopping, phone calls, use business center in the hotels etc.
  • Travel Insurance for the duration of stay in Bhutan.
  • Unexpected COVID / health care expenses if required & Personal COVID PPE.
  • Gratuities to guides and drivers.
  • Activities like (Cycling, River Rafting, Motor Biking, Horse Riding, Cultural Program etc).
  • Anything which is not mentioned under inclusion are not included in the cost.

  • Check-In 14:00 hrs. Check-out time 12:00 hrs.
  • Prices are subject to change with any increase in the cost.
  • Rates include only those items specified in your itinerary.
  • In the event of any currency fluctuations or amendment in local Government taxes, or any fuel hike, we reserve the right to adjust the tour price accordingly.


Cancellation Policy:

  • Before 30 days: Rs 5000 PP.
  • 30 - 16 days: 50% of the total cost.
  • 15 - 8 days: 75% of the total cost.
  • 07 - 0 days: 100% cancellation will apply.
  • No refund, whether partial or full, will be issued for any unused portion of the services included in the package.
